Invitations confirmed for HSBC Women’s World Championship

Singapore, 16 February 2026 – The invitations for the HSBC Women’s World Championship have been confirmed, with major winners Yuka Saso and Lilia Vu, Ladies European Tour winner Mimi Rhodes and China’s Yujie Liu, awarded a place in the elite field for the tournament at Sentosa Golf Club from February 26 to March 1.

Former world no.1 Lilia Vu will make her third appearance at the HSBC Women’s World championship with her best result coming in 2023 when she finished tied 14th. Vu is a two-time major champion, claiming her first major title at the 2023 Chevron Championship before adding a second just four months later at the AIG Women’s Open.

Vu added: “I’m really excited to be back in Singapore for the HSBC Women’s World Championship. It’s always such a special week, HSBC does an amazing job hosting us and Sentosa is a fantastic venue, keeping the course in such great condition. I’m really looking forward to competing here again, especially in such a strong field.”

Yuka Saso, also a two-time major champion will also be making her third appearance at the event. Her strongest performance at Sentosa came in 2023, where she finished sixth. Saso is a two-time winner of the US Women’s Open, securing victories in 2021 and 2024.

Mimi Rhodes will make her debut in Singapore following an outstanding season on the Ladies European Tour. Rhodes finished second on the LET Order of Merit and secured three LET victories in 2025, winning in March, April and May. She also impressed on the major stage, finishing tied 19th on her debut at the AIG Women’s Open last year.

Sixteen-year-old Yujie Liu from China will also join the field. Liu is enjoying a standout amateur career, having won both the amateur RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic and the professional CLPGA Jackfish Guangdong Women’s Open at just 15 years old last year. She is also ranked seventh on the Rolex AJGA Rankings, highlighting her status as one of the most promising young talents in Chinese golf. Liu also progressed through the CGA-HSBC China Junior Golf Programme, reflecting HSBC’s commitment to nurturing young golfing talent in China.

These four players will join the already announced Singaporean Shannon Tan and local qualifying winner Chen Xintong in the field.

HSBC has been the title sponsor of the HSBC Women’s World Championship since its inception in 2008 and recently renewed its agreement for another five years, increasing both the prize money purse to $3 million and the field to 72 players. Of the event’s 17 past editions, 15 have been won by major champions, underscoring the tournament’s reputation as a showcase for the world’s elite golfers. The 2025 field featured players from 22 nationalities, including 19 major champions and 9 of the world’s top 10.

The 72-hole stroke play championship will once again take place on the widely acclaimed Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, hosting the event for the 12th time, and currently #2 on Golf Digest’s Best Courses in Singapore list. Sentosa continues to receive global recognition for its leadership in sustainable golf and championship venue status.
