Sei Young Kim picked up golf by herself, and has gone on to win 7 Tournaments and in 2018 set the LPGA’s 72-hole scoring record at 31-under 257, breaking the mark of 27 under 261 held by Annika Sorenstam and herself. She also shot a career-low 61 in the second round of the 2018 ShopRite LPGA Classic. Kim won her first major, the 2020 Women’s PGA Championship, by five strokes. She was also named the 2020 LPGA Player of the Year.
This will be Kim’s ninth appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
