Rio Takeda made an impressive major-championship debut at the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open, tying for ninth to secure a spot in the 2025 championship. She claimed her first LPGA Tour victory at the 2024 TOTO Japan Classic, winning a dramatic six-hole playoff. With three wins and two runner-up finishes in 2024 on the LPGA Tour of Japan, Takeda now boasts eight career victories on the circuit and continues to climb the Rolex Rankings.

This will be her first appearance at HSBC Women’s World Championship.
