For Marina Alex, golf is a family affair. Her dad, Steve, competes in senior amateur events and brother, Anthony, played collegiately at Florida State University. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2012 with a degree in Communications and was a Two-time SEC player of the Year and NGCA First Team All-American (2010 & 2012) while at Vanderbilt University.
She became a Rolex First-Time Winner with her four-shot victory at the 2018 Cambia Portland Classic, where she crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings and finished fifth in driving accuracy (82.6%), 10th in greens in regulation (73.79%), and finished a career best 17th on the Official Money List. In 2021, Recorded a season-best T7 finish at the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open. She won for only the second time on May 1, 2022 at the Palos Verdes Championship, with a 10-under-par 274, beating Jin Young Ko by one stroke, both shooting a final round 66.
