Former World No.1 and Rio Olympic Silver medalist Lydia Ko became the fastest player in LPGA history to cross the $9 million earnings threshold in 2018 with her third-place finish at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. In 2016, she became the youngest-ever female player to win 2 major championships at 18 years old, and the second youngest golfer (male or female) to win 2 major wins behind Young Tom Morris after his 1869 Open Championship win.
This will be Lydia’s ninth appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
