Jeong Eun Lee6 uses a 6 at the end of her last name as she is the sixth player named Jeongeun Lee in KLPGA history; her fan club in Korea is called “Lucky 6”. In November 2018, Lee won the LPGA Q-Series and joined the tour full-time in 2019.
2019 was a stellar year for Jeong Eun who became a Rolex First-Time winner and major champion with a win at the U.S. Women’s Open and was the 19th player in history to make the U.S. Women’s Open her first LPGA Tour victory. She went on to clinch the Louise Suggs Rookie of the Year award with five events remaining in the season, becoming the 13th player from the Republic of Korea to earn the honor and fifth consecutive following Jin Young Ko (2018), Sung Hyun Park (2017), In Gee Chun (2016) and Sei Young Kim (2015).
This will be Jeong Eun Lee6’s fourth appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
