Chella annually hosts LPGA players and staff for a traditional Korean barbecue dinner at the Tour’s stop in Korea. She lists Se Ri Pak as the person she admires the most because she is a legend. Choi also won the 2005 Korean Junior Championship and was a member of the 2006 Korean National Team.
In 2018, Choi recorded 4 top-10 finishes while ranking third on Tour in driving accuracy (83.32%), 11th in greens in regulation (73.75%) and tied for second in events played with 29. She crossed the $5 million mark in official career earnings that year, her ninth on the LPGA Tour. In 2021, she recorded four top-10 finishes including a season-best T5 result at the ISPS Handa World Invitational.
