Ariya Jutanugarn had swept all 5 major season-ending awards in 2018. This includes the Rolex Player of the Year award, which she secured with three events remaining on the season’s schedule as it had already become impossible for her competitors to catch up to her. 2018 saw her best season of her LPGA career yet, adding 3 victories including 1 major, and setting the single-season records in birdies (470), and rounds in the 60s (57 of 106). In May 2021, Jutanugarn won the Honda LPGA Thailand in her home country and Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with her sister Moriya Jutanugarn.
She recorded five top-10 finishes in 2023, including a season-best runner-up result at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give in 2023.
This will be Jutanugarn’s eighth appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
