Anna Lam,
Crunch Cutlery

Single-use plastic is becoming increasingly frowned upon in Singapore. Game Changer Anna Lam wants to make disposable plastic cutlery a thing of the past. She’s created an ingenious edible spoon cutlery start-up called Crunch Cutlery. Basically, she manufactures and sells edible spoons made out of superfoods such as flax, chia and whole wheat, so people can get a boost of Omega 3, Vitamin B3, lignans and fibre with every crunch!

Anna’s vision is simple – to make the best-tasting cutlery that is great for consumers and the environment. With the help of your ‘likes’, she can work towards improving the taste of her products. Already she has edible spoons in flavours of Pink Strawberry, Green Tea and Beetroot Whole Wheat. So, her focus is to improve her formulation to create flavours that will better delight consumers’ palette.

Oh Chu Xian,
Magorium

Plastic waste could soon be used to pave the roads of Singapore. That’s what Game Changer Oh Chu Xian hopes to turn into a reality. Through Magorium, the local start-up she created, she has found a way to break down different kinds of plastic trash into a material that can start to replace the tar-like, oil-based bitumen in the mixture used to build regular roads.

Already, her product has been used to lay roads on a factory site in Tuas and a condominium in Marymount. And she plans to pave the way for greener roads in Singapore by furthering her R&D. With your support, Chu Xian’s goal is to create a new prototype with the capacity to recycle and convert more plastic into NEWBitumen than her existing one.
