One of the most respected players on the LPGA tour, Stacy Lewis became just the second American to hold the world number one position in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, when she rose to the top position for four weeks in 2013, buoyed by a gritty display that saw her claim victory at the HSBC Women’s Champions early that year.
Stacy Lewis has won 12 LPGA Tour Victories, with 2 majors amidst. Entering the 2017 LPGA Tour season Lewis ranks 10th on the LPGA’s Career Money List and seventh among active players with career earnings of $11,408,274. Lewis has spent 264 consecutive weeks from 2011-2016 ranked in the top 10 on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
She recorded a career best in driving accuracy of 80% which ranked her 4th on the LPGA Tour. Lewis has recorded at least three runner-up finishes in each of the past five seasons. She was a member of the victorious U.S. Team in the UL International Crown in 2016.
Lewis started playing golf at the age of 8 and credits her parents ‘for encouraging me to play even after having back surgery’ as the individuals most influencing her career. Diagnosed with scoliosis as a child, she is the living embodiment of perseverance and hard work.
