Born in Pamplona, Spain, Carlota Ciganda started to play golf at aged five, influenced by her father. She attended college in the United States at Arizona State University from 2008 to 2011, where she majored in Business Administration.
Ciganda qualified for the LPGA Tour on her first attempt and has won 2 LPGA Victories since. In 2018, she crossed the $4 million mark in career earnings with career-best finishes at both the U.S. Women’s Open (third) and Ricoh Women’s British Open (T7). In 2023, she recorded six top-10 finishes, including two third place results at the Portland Classic and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
