Ariya Jutanugarn is the current No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, having swept all 5 major season-ending awards in 2018. This includes the Rolex Player of the Year award, which she secured with three events remaining on the season’s schedule as it had already become impossible for her competitors to catch up to her. 2018 saw her best season of her LPGA career yet, adding 3 victories including 1 major, and setting the single-season records in birdies (470), and rounds in the 60s (57 of 106). She crossed the $7 million mark in career earning following her win at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
This will be Jutanugarn’s fifth appearance at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
