INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PGA TOURS

On behalf of the International Federation of PGA Tours-World Golf Championships Operating Committee, it is our pleasure and honor to welcome you to the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club.

 

The WGC-HSBC Champions is held in high esteem due to the event being the only World Golf Championships tournament held in Asia. It also features prominently on the 2018 European Tour’s Race to Dubai and is part of the PGA TOUR’s 2018-19 FedExCup schedule.

 

Since its inauguration in 2005, the tournament has celebrated worthy champions which reflects wonderfully on the tournament’s importance and prestige. Twelve months ago, we witnessed Justin Rose’s triumph against a world-class field in front of thousands of golf fans. The win in October played a large factor in Rose ultimately becoming England’s first FedExCup winner, joining the likes of Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh as FedExCup champions.

 

Other great winners at the HSBC Champions include Phil Mickelson, Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymar, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson and Hideki Matsuyama, showcasing a wonderful array of global golf stars who have enjoyed victories in China.

 

This week, we welcome another stellar cast of champions, headlined by Rose, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Francesco Molinari, Patrick Reed and a host of leading names from the other international tours. We are confident our players will put on another sterling show for our fans.
