The WGC-HSBC Champions will be held on 25th – 28th October 2018 at Shanghai Sheshan International Golf Club. This world-class professional event held in China jointly held by the Multi- Ball Games Administrative Center of General Administration of Sport of China, the China Golf Association and Shanghai Sport Bureau.

 

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the WGC-HSBC Champions, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the players, officials, spectators and our media friends.

 

Because of the Rio Olympic Games, Chinese have shown great interest in golf. What can foreknow is in October, WGC-HSBC Champions is sure to make greater waves across China. I believe that through the continued support of HSBC and the efforts of all of us, we will deliver a brilliant event to golf lovers both in China and overseas, and provide Chinese golfers with another excellent chance tolearn and improve their game.

 

The China Golf Association will dispatch seven top Chinese players to participate in the tournament and we hope they will perform to the best of their skills and ability and play well.

 

I would like to thank all the partners who have contributed to the operation of this tournament, namely the Municipal Government of Shanghai,the Shanghai Sport Bureau, the People’s Government of Songjiang District of Shanghai, the Shanghai Golf Association, the Shanghai Sheshan International Golf Club, IMG and The International Federation of PGA Tours. I especially appreciate HSBC’s great support of golf in China.
