Shane Lowry is the current Open Champion and 5-time winner worldwide. The 32-year-old Irishman won the Irish Open in 2009, as the third amateur to win on the European Tour. He turned pro immediately after this victory and his first professional victory came in 2012 at the Portugal Masters. Earlier this year he outplayed the field at Royal Portrush to become The Open Champion, beating second placed Tommy Fleetwood by six shots.
This year, Shane is enjoying one of his best seasons on Tour, capturing two titles, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA and The Open Championship.
Shane will be making his sixth appearance at the WGC-HSBC Champions with his best finish coming in 2016 where he was tie for 23rd.
