Henrik Stenson is the 2016 Open Champion and 20-time winner worldwide. The 43-year-old Swede turned professional in 1999 and in 2000 topped the money rankings on the Challenge Tour. He joined The European Tour in 2001 and won the Benson & Hedges International Open for his first European Tour victory.
In 2016, Henrik and Phil Mickelson led the field at The Open, by six and five shots respectively and after a head-to-head duel on Sunday, Henrik held a putt of over 25 feet to claim victory and his first Major Championship. Later in 2016, he won a silver medal at The Olympics, narrowly losing to Justin Rose.
This season, Henrik has five top-10 finishes across the PGA Tour and European Tour including a fourth place finish at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open.
Henrik will be making his eighth appearance at the WGC-HSBC Champions with his best finish coming in 2016 and 2017 where he finished in a tie for second.
