In 2008, Yang recorded a season-best tie for ninth at the Hana Bank * KOLON Championship 2008; competed on the Ladies European Tour (LET), winning the HypoVereinsbank Ladies German Open presented by Audi and the Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika. Carded eight additional top-10 finishes and ended the year ranked fourth on the LET New Star Money List; returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she finished runner-up to earn Priority List Category 11 for the 2009 LPGA season.
In 2007, the Korean competed on the LET and recorded five top-20 finishes, including a fourth-place finish at the S4/C Wales Ladies Championship; tied for 54th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season.
Yang turned professional in October 2006 and competed on the Ladies European Tour, where she finished fourth at the Dubai Ladies Masters.
In 2011, she recorded seven top-10 finishes including: second at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship where she lost in a playoff to Yani Tseng; tied for second at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship; fourth at the RICOH Women's British Open; tied for sixth at the Avnet LPGA Classic; seventh at the Honda LPGA Thailand; tied for seventh at the LPGA HanaBank Championship; tied for 10th at the US Women's Open. Won the KB Star Championship on the KLPGA, her third-career international victory.
