Katie Futcher

As an amateur Futcher was a two-time NCAA All-American (2002-03) while at Pennsylvania State University. A three-time NCAA Academic All-American from 2001-03, Futcher was also a two-time Big Ten All-Conference selection and a member of the victorious U.S. team at the 2004 World University Golf Championship in Thailand.

 

These early accolades led her to turn pro in 2004 and after a year on the LPGA Futures Tour, Katie finished tied-fourth at the 2005 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and so earned exemption status for the 2006 LPGA season.

 

 

Since then Katie has recorded at least one top ten finish in every season since her rookie season of 2006 and in the process earned over US $1 million in career prize money. A particular highlight was her third place finish at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship.

Making 18 cuts from 23 events played Futcher enjoyed a reasonable 2012 with the highlights being  T-8 at the ISPS Handa Womenís Australian Open and The RICOH Womenís British Open.
